The Copenhagen Process

In Autumn of 2001 the Commission, the Member States and the Social Partners through the Directors General for Vocational Training launched the Bruges initiative aimed at 

•  increasing cooperation in the field of VET on a voluntary basis
• and particularly addressing the key issues of quality, transparency and mutual trust.

The Copenhagen declaration, 30 November 2002, gives the political mandate to develop these priorities.
