Integration in Higher Education
Striving to extend the permeability between continuing vocational and higher education in the context of lifelong learning, instruments have been developed to define and assess qualification levels and performance (learning outcome) expectations. These are now applied to career profiles of Professionals. Pilot projects with academic institutions take place, for instance, the project “PRO-IT. Though currently restricted to profiles on Professionals levels, these instruments can also be applied to transfer learning credits for Specialists qualification, though details in the different quality assurance procedures (Professionals are examined through local Chamber of Commerce and Trade, Specialists go through a ISO-based certification process) for the determination of credits need to be considered. |
