The promotion of permeability between different pillars of education and particularly between education and training domains is of paramount importance to make lifelong learning a reality. This requires the introduction of adequate instruments and structural and institutional reorientations in the way education and training are organized to make systems on national and European levels as seamless as possible. Permeability is to facilitate transitioning between school – work life – higher education. This, very naturally, brings about issues of certification of informal and non-formal learning achievements. |
