Training Implementation

Settling the Formalities

If employed, a person wanting to qualify will usually take part in a career development discussion. Here, the individual’s and the company’s objectives are coordinated and documented in a qualification agreement.

An appropriate occupation profile (from the Specialist’s profiles or the IT Professional’s profiles) must be identified and the formal entry criteria of the participants must also be examined and approved. To qualify as Specialist, for instance, one needs either

  • A completed VET programme in the IT occupations or a higher academic degree
  • A completed Non-IT VET and a minimum of one year full-time work experience in the IT industry
  • Four years full-time work experience in IT.

Real work project(s) must be selected to cover the respective profile’s reference process congruent in depth and complexity. Facilitator and technical experts are chosen. A description of the qualification project along with personal information is given to a certification body officially accredited or – for examination as IT Professional – to a Chamber of Commerce and Industry. If the information is complete and meets the formal requirements, the qualification can start.

Employed or free-lance workers:

Both are eligible. The criterion is not the employment status but to qualify with real life work projects
