Outlook
There are two major initiatives in the context of AITTS that are being developed with great effort:
- Connecting and linking AITTS to structures of higher education in Germany
In order to provide a new level of permeability for training and education required to establish lifelong learning effectively, instruments such as credit transfer systems or qualification frameworks are being implemented nationally. Collaborating with academic institutions in local pilot projects, details and opportunities are currently being explored. All these activities are in full accord with initiatives driven on the European Level.
- Extending core concepts of AITTS to other industries
The fundamental ideas that have guided the conceptual design of AITTS – process orientation, action competence described by performance/behaviour expectations, workflow embedded training, integration of qualification and certification – are not restricted to the IT industry. Being as innovative and effective as they are, these concepts are currently transferred and adapted for other industries – the automotive industry involving electrics/electronics as well as engineering being the focus at the current stage. |
